Liang was born in Feng-yuan, Chang-hua in 1937 and graduated from the Taipei Teaching College with a major in fine arts. He studied modern art under Li Chung-sheng from 1958 to 1963. Liang held his fir st solo exhibition in 1973 at the Taipei American Culrural Center gallery. He formally resigned from teaching in 1976 to pursue a profes-sional career as an artist. He has , since then, held solo exhibitions annually, setting up a wprking stu-dio in New York's Soho district and holding exhibi-tions throughout the United States, Liang returned to Taiwan in 1999 where he estabkished a studio, In 2003 he held a solo exhibition of large-scale Paint-ings at the Taichung Harbour Area Art Center, Liang's works art not only collected by a large number of private collectors, but have also been displyed in over 150 exhibitions throughout the world.
